Hello everybody, I bought the interesting Vintage Synth Expansion Board intending to emulate my favourite RUSH synth sounds on my XP30. I know Geddy Lee uses mostly Moog and Oberheim (8 voice, I guess), but as far as I have searched and tweaked, the patches built in the Expansion Board are not quite like those you hear in the opening of songs such as Subdivisions (Oberheim, I guess...) and Tom Sawyer (Moog, I guess...). Is there anyone there who has ever tried to carve this sounds from an XP30 like mine? Any tips (including editing, layering and whatever) on how to get closer to those sounds will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Andre Lower

If you can ever figure it out, let me know. I'm a fan of their earlier material (late '70s to mid '80s.) What do you think of the Vintage board overall? I've only heard a few samples.

I don't know if this helps, but Rush used a Moog Taurus II, according to vintagesynth.org.
