I have heared some Rumors about Roland leaving the whole Arranger buiseness and concentrating on professionall Synths only (Where that leaves the digitall pianos and organs they could not say)

All this offcourse from a discussion in a local Musik shop, where the owner knew it all while trying to push boxes branded yamaha.

The same line they used before the G70, i wish it is true.
It is time for a brandnew top arranger to compete the T3.,competition makes it all better.

You gotta watch out for some of those small stores that give obviously false info about another keyboard maker. Some of these shops do this because they need to push the one and only keyboard brand they can afford to have in their store. Opening up a keyboard department in a store is just plain expensive... Some stores can only afford to carry ONE brand of keyboard.., so naturally they're going to tell whatever they can to push the one and only brand they can afford to sell.

I have no doubt that Roland (when they decide to release it) will bring out a new model that's going to give the T3 a run. Roland also does something else that puts them ahead of Yamaha. Look at the number of synths available from Roland, and look at the ONE and only synth Yamaha offers--as I'm not going to even include the Mini Mo and the MO series is just a severely stripped down version of the Motif ES. Roland gives you more options (Fantom, Juno-which there is now 3 Juno models to choose from, SH-201, V-Synth, VP-550). Now I will say Yamaha dominates in the number of options in the arranger market, but in Roland's defense..., they may have less arrangers on the market, BUT their lowest arranger has no less than 64 note poly, 16 trk seq, AND (drum roll.....) MIDI JACKS!

Its when Roland go quiet like this, and for as long as this that something BIG is brewing.

When they do finally release whatever it is, it will almost certainly be a ground-breaking instrument, maybe even revolutionary..

They have taken their arranger line, in its present form, probably as far as they can, in my view, and are heading down slightly different path, still with the arranger model at its core, but radically different to any at present.

who knows, maybe they will finally put togheter a hybrid like arranger+arpeggio+synth, as many players dream of this mix between the two type of instruments.

Murphy's law states:

"New keyboard information will be obtained directly and subsequently after purchase of NEW keyboard from main competitor."

Donny, that means Roland will make an announcement as soon as you purchase the new T3!

I was going to put this in this morning anyway when I saw Al's message and I'm thinking that's just what's going to happen!

Does anyone have ANYTHING on what Roland is doing about releasing a new arranger keyboard before I make my purchase? I'm going to buy a high-end arranger this week. I'm not waiting to look at the Audya any longer!

It's been my experience with Roland (unlike other companies) that they don't announce new products to ANYONE (including their own employees) until the day the model it's replacing is completely sold out from the factory. Right now there are too many rumors in the air to ignore the possibility that there is a warehouse full of the new "mega-arranger" keyboard that they're going to introduce one day out of the blue.

So......has anyone heard anything more definite about a new arranger release from Roland other than what's been said so far?

Lucky
