I now have all my lead sheets in PDF format and will be using my laptop instead of paper books. What is everyone using for a good music stand replacement which will hold a laptop?

The exact model I got after testing some was a Belmonte 5050BK. Got it for around $32. I originally tested one that cost more from Guitar Center, but the protective rubber jointing made if wobbley and the music rack would slide down.

The one I got, all pro band people in my area use. It is steady and secure for a laptop.

My Laptop sits right on the KB stand - solid and sure, but I use a HD rubber band just for the "drunk factor".

Donnie,
do you put the keyboard on one tier and the laptop on the other? Or is there another attachment?
It looks very interesting I'll have to check it out.
Do you have any pics of your setup

thanks for the help!
Mike

Also, I couldn't find this info on the website, but what is the footprint like.
I want to use it in my home studio to maybe take up less space than an x stand, mic stand and laptop on a table.

This one I designed about 5 years ago is rock solid. Sits on the top tier of a Quick-Loc heavy-duty X-stand just over an inch above the top of the keyboard. It holds a lot of gear, including the Digitech VR, all power supplies, Surge protector, phantom power pack, doubles as a sign, and has strip lights that light the keyboard and sign. Made of 1/8-inch aluminum plate, lexan face for sign cover, built like a tank, and only weighs about 7 pounds.

Cheers,

Gary
