Been planning to get the XP-30 for a month now. Still a bit undecided.

I'm concerned about the joystick on the XP-30. It isn't the same as other XP's, since it doesn't have the full mod travel. Could anyone compare it to the other XP's? Is it as expressive and sensitive? Is it "fun" to use? Is it real stiff? Even the smallest details would be appreciated.

Also, any thoughts about the XP-30 will also be appreciated.

Just post your reply, and I'll get back to u.

Thanks.

Seems like you need to really push the XP30 mod lever forward with excessive force...to achieve any modulation effects. Maybe in time after use, it will get worn in and loosen up. The right left pitch movement feels perfect though.

I agree that you seem to have to push the joystick forward with a fair degree of force to get the mod effects happening.

That would be one of my only small complaints about the XP-30 - I would like the separate wheels of a Yamaha - but then you can always use the programmable sliders anyway.
