Dnj..., that's an easy one. The most obvious will be the inclusion of a few SA2 voices..., and you may or may not see the SA2 control buttons (found on the T3). You'll find more of the styles using the SA voices too. You'll most likely find a few new Cool, Sweet, and Live voices too.

I'm going to speculate that given the changes made between the T2 and T3.., there's a likely probability that the model that replaces the S-900 could be compared to the changes made between the PSR-2000 to the PSR-2100.

Poly will remain the same.., they probably won't change the design much, maybe a few new styles or just re-tweeked styles to use the SA technology. I just don't see Yamaha making a huge jump with the 900 replacement.

Squeak thanx for your thoughts, but this next S series will outsell Tyros for sure in the Mid level range market. But be prepared for a price jump too maybe a few hundred to about $1799 -$1999 .....we'll see soon enough. What gets me is that NOT everyone is so impressed with TYROS3.

Dnj...., clearly the S-900 replacement will sell big compared to the T3 Many may not be impressed with the T3 (and in all honestly one obvious sour issue is the price), but quite a few who enjoy the 900 as being a baby Tyros will flock to the 900 replacement as it will be the baby T3. I too wouldn't be surprised to see a pretty big price jump on it too.

Probably a new screen, and a slight change in cabinet...SA2 sounds for sure...more styles...maybe more pedal inputs.

Can't see them changing too much...why mess with success.

Good points Squeak....

I always felt that as good as teh Tyros sounds to me its a HOME Instrumental Players keyboard not, a Singing, Gigging
Pro-musicians unit as it lacks to many crucial features......all that SA stuff rally isn't that important when your singing almost every song every night....there is more then enough in the sound department to keep your right hand comp to your voice sounding full....versus the solo player at home playing all melodies & using the Bagpipes, clarinet, or what have you..

Yamaha's product cycle seems pretty dependable. Damn it Donny, you've bought enough of these over the years (MORE than enough!) to figure this one out for yourself, haven't you?!

How long after T1 did PSR3k come out?

How long after T2 did S900 come out?

Why do I have to figure out the simple stuff for you?

You bring the Philly Cheesesteak, I'll bring the Boudin!

Damn! My Saints broke my heart again last night! I think we need to dig up Morten Anderson! Reggie Bush looked like a star for a while though, didn't he?

I'll bone up on my Dion and the Belmonts before we meet in January, OK?

mmmmmm Philly CheeseSteaks!

I'm hoping to be out in your neck of the woods before Christmas Donny. My mother and father's whole family is from Levittown. I spent a great deal of time there when I was younger. It wasn't too long ago a few family members came in for a weddding..., we all met up in Erie at my parents home, but I got a great surprise. One of my uncles knows my love for real Philly CheeseSteaks.., and although not as fresh as off the grill.., he brought me 2 of them! Even from the trip they still tasted better than any cheapo wanna-be Philly I've had
