I am kinda starter for sound customizations using sysex, so please be kind even if I ask newbie questions..

If I want to make my own sound, should I use "USER" bank? I think that "USER" bank is ok to delete but I am still not sure..

Oh BTW, have you guys used the utility called ChangeIT? Can I used ChangeIT instead of SoundDiver?

Actually, you can *only* use the User Bank unless you immediately save your new patch from TEMP to a disk or to your computer rather than writing it to the User Bank.

But when you edit a patch, you're actually editing it in the TEMPORARY buffer, not the User Bank. When you are finished, then you must decide where to save the patch: either to the User Bank or to disk or to your computer.

BTW: Even if you save it to a User Bank location, you can always recover the original user factory patch by initializing the patch to "preset."

The JV1010 factory USER bank is just a selection of patches already present in the preset (read only) banks A-E.

Are you sure? The user presets in the XP50/60/80 are *not* entirely present in the ROM preset banks. I have a list here somewhere if anyone is interested.

Most of factory USER patches on the JV1010 are already present on the preset banks, but some DON'T.
