when I try recording into my xp 80 I can only record part /track 1

If I try and record a different part I can hear the sound but when i try and play it back it is silent and no data is recorded.

This seems to happen for any performance I choose.

What do I need to do to record all 16 parts of a performance.

Have you ever thought about just resetting your XP-80 to factory settings? Sounds like some of your system controllers or Midi assignments are all screwed up, judging from this topic and your earlier one where all the parts would play at once. Now no other parts play but for part 1. I'm sure there is a way to figure all this out, but it would probably be easiest to just reset to factory and the settings would probably be right.
