the Korg PA800 i have been playing in the shops has version 1.51 dated August 2007.

i realise 1.60 is currenlty on the Korg PA website.

Are there any major differences from 1.51 to 1.60 that I should look into? doess 1.6 have better / more sounds and styles??

wait another couple of days, the new OS version 2 should be released very soon, and that WILL make a difference.

Adi,
I think version 2.0 is for the PA2X Pro only (at least for now).

andrea,
to be honest, i said it without checking... so, you might have been right. but usually, korg would take these two models together. i hear there is even a new OS version for pa500. but no goodies here!

Hi Nick,
may not be worth updating at this stage. 1.51 was a pretty major upgrade. Vers.2 is supposed to be avail. in Nov.
There should be some release notes with the download on what vers. 1.60 fixed or added.

best wishes
Rikki

If you use the voice processor you should certainly upgrade to 1.60, otherwise you might as well wait for 2.0. It should be here any day now

Read the 1.60 release notes here:

Kind regards,
Tommy
