Hi,

now itīs going on with two new Videos from Peter Baartmans on the YouTube-Channel:

Adios Nonino http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv6qkIYqS8Y&fmt=18

and

Makin' Whoopee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXPYs7lRY4U&fmt=18

Two songs, that shows the whole spectrum and versatility from Peter and the instrument.

At this point in time i would to thank all the people who also work on this recordings and made the best possible together:

on stage:

Peter Baartmans and Joachim Wolf (the Guitar-Hero in "Music" )

behind the stage:

"Conny" Vogel, Michel Voncken, Michael Mehlich, Peter "Pedda" Schips.

...last but not least to Stefan Erdmann for the german Interview (i know, but sometime it will be a new english video)

Thanks for the great work and the trust!

to be continued ...

Thilo.

Just to put it in perspective, going price on a CVP 307 can be somewhere between $5.5k and $6k+...

Now does anyone think that these, despite Peter's excellent musicianship, are worth $2k+ MORE than a T3?

I don't hear it, that's for sure...

Actually the CVP-409, played by Baartmans in these demos, sells for about 6000 euros here in Europe and it has the same Megavoices the Tyros 2 has... no SA2, which will presumably be introduced in the next Clavinova series, so it's true that they lag behind the Tyros of at least one generation. But of course they are made of wood, look nice in your living room, have a powerful speaker system and so on...

WOW.....CHECK THIS OUT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjbRK6QB2Tg

I played it twice...Peter is sure a talented keyboardist!

Kind of takes your breath away...

Wish I had that kind of musical talent.

Makes me want to buy a CVP?

I purchased a CVP 307 in 2004 for $5100. I think the 307 is out of production and has been replaced by the 407. Of course when I purchased the 307 it was from a friend of mine who was the Yamaha dealer in Rhode Island at the time. As I recall, others who didn't have a friend in the business could buy it as low as $5700 if they really shopped around, otherwise $6,000 was typical. I tend to doubt I could sell my CVP 307 for $5,000, I could be wrong. I would be very happy if I could sell it for $5,000. I also had a CVP 107 which I paid $3500 for in 2001, three years later when I sold it I got $1800 cash and the buyer picked it up at my home. I took a bath on it. But had no use for it.

Yea, the T3 with it's new sound engine has some advantages over the CVP 307 as an arranger. Most of the time I play the 307 I use it strictly as a piano, in that case the 307 with its' graded hammer action has it all over the T3.

Yep, The T3 will eat a CVP's lunch..functinaly, but...you are buying a nice piece of furnature with 88 note full graded hammer action! And it is the piano playing publc (families a lot) that want the CVP. So they are already looking at pianos and thier price.

My dealer here sells them like chocolate cookies!

Peter, playing over a SMP that he probably created is awesome...he could do the same on a Tyros, but he would loose the 88 notes piano. And it looks like he needs them!

Ah, Ha, another light just went on...it's not only the Yamaha PRO division that does not want Tyros to have more than 61 notes..it's also the Clavinova gang!
