I have had my XP-30 for about 5 months and have
experienced about four times my synth freezing up when
I've run my sequencer (Cakewalk). As soon as I unplug
the MIDI cable (or serial cable, which I have been
using), the synth 'unfreezes.' I have figured out that
doing a factory reset fixes this, but sooner or later
it'll come back (presumably since I change the user
patches, performances). Has anyone else had this
problem? Another symptomn is that the synth will spew
out lots of notes really fast like an arpegiator, often
repeated notes.

At first I thought this was a Cakewalk problem, since
disconnecting the MIDI cables to the computer unfreezed
the synth. But when I discovered that the factory
reset fixed it, I realized it was the synth, probably
sending something wierd to the sequencer and back to
itself again.
