It appears that Frapper has been corrected and photos can again be uploaded.
Before joining, please have a reasonably sized (not too large) photo of yourself ready to upload.

If you want your photo, pin and location to appear on the MAP you must do so at the JOIN button.

If you are already a member you can
Join
Edit Pin
Upload Photo (or upload to change photo)
Change location
Move pin

Just adding a photo to the photo section, only does just that...add a photo.

So the keyword is JOIN

Thanks for your cooperation, and let's hope that "We're back in buisness"

Gary,

I believe you uploaded a photo at the "photo section", rather than at the "Join" section.
This puts your photo on the slideshow, but does not put you on the Map with a pin.

See my edited post above, and try editing via the Join button on the SynthZone map.

Thanks
Larry

Once again I suggest you put your name or nick in the sound off section so people will be able to know whose picture they are looking at. the picture means nothing without a name
I also put the main keyboards I play in the shout out too. Just roll your curser over my pic and you will see what I am writing about.
Best to all,
Bebop

There still seems to be a problem joining the map. I have tried a number of times but even though I am told I have been added I don't get added. I think I am not the only person this is happening to given that there are no new additions to the map since those few that are there now.

Larry,

It shows up on my computer just fine, both when I click the pin and when I look at the slide show. And, I did click on the Join icon, which took me to the edit the pin icon, which is where I added the photo.

Nigel,

Since you joined before the photo upload problem, the SynthZone Frapper Map may already have you stored as a member.(Even though there is no sign of that)

I believe that membership information hides somewhere in the cache of the Adobe Flash Player at Frapper

So you can try clearing out the cache:

1. Navigate to the Join Map page

2. Right click on the map

3. Adobe Flash Player Settings

4. Local Storage (folder icon)

5. How Much Information can www.frapper.com store on your computer?

6. It should currently be around 1MB.
This needs to be temporarily changed to None...slide complete left.

7. Close Adobe Flash Player Settings.

8. Restart your browser and then back to Join on the map. Hopefully it will let you start over as a new member.

9. After that, successful or not, you'll want to go back to the map and Adobe Flash Player Settings and move the local storage back to 1MB
CAUTION DO NOT TICK ON "Never Ask Again" box. It's best to have that option easily available

10.Good Luck...sometimes computers remember and store too much, in places that are hard to clear.
