I've got a chance to buy a (PSR) 9000 Pro for $800 that is like new, mint, barely used. Is that a good deal? I'm not a real experienced keyboard user but I'm going to buy a PSR 9000 or a 9000 Pro. This is going to be for home use only. I have read some reviews on this site that say the CPU in the 9000 Pro was weak. But how does it compare to the regular PSR 9000. Please chime in asap as I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these soon and I need help bad!

I moved this here from the main Yamaha discussion as I figured there would be more assistance here.

I know it's just me,but i would never buy a Keyboard with a power switch on the rear panel. I know most pro boards are that way, which is why i don't own any of them.My 9000 is just purrfect for what i tinker with as home user. That and 76 keys would'nt fit into my tight little music area!

I have owned my 9000 pro from new since 2000,
It's never let me down and the only modification I have had done, is to add a hard disc drive, I'm semi pro, so the keyboard gets used about once or twice a week, the price you have been quoted is very reasonable, be warned though, this keyboard is very HEAVY, have fun, Ross
