I'm planning to replace Tyros TRSMS02 satellite speakers with Bose 161 speakers for the Tyros3.Are there any other high quality speakers better than Bose 161 for replacing the Tyros satellite speakers?
Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sunny

For the price of these unpowered Bose why not look at the Logitech z2300/z5500 systems many people are using here with great success?

I have both, as well as the Bose L1. There is no question as to the performance of either one, icluding a great sub woofer, but it takes a little set up time.

The Logitech are good, but you did ask for a replacement for the Tyros Saterlites. I'm using small Mordaunt Shorts replacing the Tyros Satellites and still powered from the Sub-Bass.
There is a choice of good small passive speakers like Bose already mentioned and the JBL Control 1.

Sunny,

The Logitech Z-5500 system provides incredible sound quality, and as one member clearly demonstrated, it can be modified a bit to not only improve on it's excellent sound, but additionally, cut the setup time down to just a few minutes. And, the price and customer service cannot be beat. There are a number of performers using this system in small to mid-size venues with rave reviews.

Good Luck,

Gary

I swear by these 200watt babies for all our computers. Have had them 6 years now and still can't find anything better for the money. I want to carry them in the store for portable laptop recordists.Parts are available. (I replaced the control unit a few years ago on one becasue I broke it taking it off. I kept the old one though becasue the board is still good.

400 reviews will help you decided if $1
