What I suggested was NOT a converter but just a simple "Y" plug adapter.......there has to be more to this problem tell us exactly what you have done? Have you checked your Laptop mixer settings first?
Double Clik on the speaker Icon on the bottom right tool bar.

My bad, it is the radio shack "Y" plug adapter, donnie told me to get.. My keyboard plays great on very little volume as well as the vocal.. But no luck with laptop to keyboard.. Very weak signal.. I'll keep fooling with it

I got the 1/8 to the RCA adapters..http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103859

I'm going to order the other adapter and see if that works

Just ordered http://www.jr.com/hosa/pe/HOS_CMP159/

Thanks

Beachbum,

If you are firing the laptop's headphone out into the keyboard's auxiliary input, or into one of the amp's inputs, there is not enough power to do much at all. You'll need to beef up the signal. The only economical way of doing this is using a headphone amplifier device, which is available at Radio Shack. The last time I checked they sold for about $20 and they're battery powered with a couple AA cells. 1/8-inch stereo plug at one end and three 1/8-inch stereo jacks on the unit, plus a volume control. The only other option is to go through a mixer.

Hope this helps,

Gary
