Mine is the Bass & Drums expansion board. The most impressive of all. The sounds are stunningly realistic. I would say that this is a must have.

I also have the Hip-Hop which has a great variety. This could also be the only board you own. In addition, I have the Experience I and II boards.

Orchestral I Board

Cuz its got a lot of "familiar" ensemble patches, and generally sounds the best out of all the synth Orchestral modules out there (for all around sounds). Its great for layering with the popular Orchestral Sample Libraries. I love the Brass ensemble pathces the most, they aren't as synthy as many other brass patches that over emphasise the brightness of hard attacks,...tho sometimes its under emphasised as well...

World Board-

Its ok, has a lot of other sounds that are great to filter, and use in a bunch of different styles of music. Bought it cuz I was doing a project that needed Steel drum samples and it was before I had a sampler.

I also own an XP-30 now, so I have the expansion sounds that come with that. Having an arsenal of sounds without having to spen time loading is great...I screw them all up anyways, and throw them into my sampler

BTW, I also have a VS,..but you knew that hehhehheh

My all time favorite board is the special FX, no board ever got me to such a rush as that one.. First I thought, OK: I want to have that board becasue for the kind of music I make I sometimes need streams and birds etc, but this board is so totally different from that SN-U110-5 Super FX card you had for the U series.. It goes so much beyond that concept, you have textures a-la nine inch nails, hits a-la X files .. and the list goes on. This board has very much power because you can always resynthesise the effects to create new ones..

The world board gives me a convincing array of etnic instruments that sounds "effective".

I think it has to be the Session and Techno Collections. The sounds are brilliant for anything you wanna do. The only thing I have against the boards is the price tag. You can get a lot more from a "good decent" sample CD in less the price
