My S900 is not responding to chord changes when playing with styles. It seems to be the bass line. It sounds like a constant hum but it is the bass just not changing.... Any help or ideas.... thanks Ron

If the bass is fixed and the rest of the accomp. is playing right check the Midi set up. In my Psr1500 I select Function-Midi-Edit-in this screen select the Bass tab and see if any channel is marked. If so uncheck it. This function allows the arranger to play the bass line matching the midi note received from an external controller independently to the chord played by you.

Do a master reset by holding down the rightmost key while turning on the keyboard. This should solve your problem.

Thanks Gary.... The reset did work.... I was afraid of doing that at first thinking I would have lost all my settings.... But it does not erase any of them...... Thanks Again..... Ron

G-Man to the rescue!

Just to follow up for those who have never done a master reset on a yamaha arranger, when you navigate to that screen, it gives you options to select what info is reset...

No fears, they've hooked us up pretty good that way...

Bill
