sounds like the 3080 shipped this month. What kind of US street price did you pay for either ?
Does either piece blow away the 1080/2080 in terms of sound/effect quality ?
Or is there a large amount of recycled Roland sounds (of the 1080/JD990) through improved effects ? Yes I have read you can load samples into the 5080.

I will get a XV 5080 in may and yes it can sample Akai s 1000 programs and S 700/760 patchs/performance.I will say yes it will blow jv 2080 away because the new 1083 waveforms,new matrix modulation and new effects like RSS,isolator,formantfilter and COSM effects.
