Thanks, Bill, for the more informative post. Knowing you are hearing stuff from four or five years ago helps put some of this stuff into context...

OTOH, some of it sounds MUCH older than that...

Organ music from Europe is a VERY acquired taste, especially to us Americans (or adopted Yanks like me!). so the sounds that serve it best are not as useful to us over here. Try to make something remotely contemporary (or even legacy American music) on sounds like that, and you are going to have a problem, IMO...
