Hello. Here's my problem. I have an XP80 and there are 6 keys damaged. (won't sound). My local Roland store asks $495 'cause they say the whole set of keys is to be replaced. Is there another way to fix it?...is it TOO difficult?...why it is so expensive!...can I buy a set and replace it myself?!?!?!!!!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
(Sorry, my english is not too good)

Jose,The price sounds high. Are the keys in sucessive[in a row]. Sometimes the contacts need only to be cleaned[ $50-$60]. I would get another quote.. Good luck..Fran
Jose, even if the keys are broke,$10 a key covers the cost and about $40 total labor..

I damaged the very top key on my xp80. Roland supplied my fixit guy with a new key and I hade it back within a week. I can assume by this that there was no other damage.

As opposed to going back to the shop, go to an authorised repairer. I would not have thought that the whole keyboard needs to be replaced, unless there is significant damage.

My repair cost me about $40 (Australian)
