Okay. You heard the XV guitar patches and were amazed. If you have a SRJV80-10 Bass & Drum expansion board, you can replicate to a "T" the guitar patch their. My patch is promising, but needs a little work.

If you notice, a lot of the Bass patches on the SRJV10 sound very real because you can almost hear the string noise - It's that high pitch "twang" that you hear in the background. This "twang" is not a wavefom, so you'd have to use one of the TONEs that have this noise in it.

1)Find a Bass patch that has this noise. Go through the WG menu to find the TONE that has this noise.

2)Go to the TONE that has the noise and use the TVF function to turn the the filter to BPF or HPF

3)Turn the Cutoff Freq. to 95. YOu need to do this to get the "Bass" sound out and keep the twang sound in.

4)Go and turn another tone on and switch this second tone to INTA-56 6Strng Guit, or even one of the Nylon Guitar waveforms.

5)Turn the level on the INTA-56 down to at least 107 and have the TONE GAIN switch to +6 at the maximum.

6)Make sure that the TONE GAIN for the twang TONE is up to at least +12 and the TONE LEVEL is up to 127.

7)Tweak away at this for a while until you like your result.

Voila! Now you have one of the most realistic guitar (acoustic) on your JX/XP ever created.

The Infamous EPU.
