I am recording a style.

A certain part is very hard to do in real time, so I am step recording.

Now, I don't know how to read notes, i play by ear, so everything was going good until-
When I came to a part where I want a certain note to be extra long.. I tried all the different notes and it does not make it longer..!

Anybody know how to do this?

Thank you,
SHIM

There will be somwhere where you get to change the duration of the note. You may have to look at your manual to find it but it will be there somewhere.

Hi Shim:

What brand/model do you have??
I think/recall that you have the S900, to bad is not ANY of the Korg PA series, it is very easy to make the short midi file for that parts/tracks and then just import it into it.
You may look in if it supports the import of a midi file, that way is perfect!!.
I also do not read music, but, is most likely that you are proficient in the PCs, with the event edit of the track in any sequencer you may have like Sonar, Cubase, etc...you can do it.

Hi,
I concur with Nigel and add, most step recording modes allow for the combining of multiple note values using the Plus sign.
