Hi, I don't post here very often but I happened to be home sick today so I posted a song. I have just learned this classic tango and making a recording helped me to keep practicing untill I get it right.

Here are the details: Orchestral Tango Style. UP1 Movie Strings 2, UP2 Viola Expr, UP3 Stereo Strings, Low Grand Piano RX.
Ensemble set on duet.
Recorded in realtime with the onboard quick record setting. Played back into the computer audio program. I normalzied it and applied a gentle compression preset and saved as an mp3.

rbmusic,

That is one of my favorite Tangos....

also from the movie..."Scent Of A Woman"
with Al Pacino

Very well played, nice use of sounds & styles also. Enjoyable & thanks for sharing.
I like to do this song just a bit slower for my Argentine Tango dancers too. Hope to hear a few more.

Take care

Didn't this one appear in 'True Lies' with Schwarzenegger as well?

I'm a bit disappointed that there aren't more abrupt section boundaries in that style. Tangos have a very pronounced boundary, in general. It's just a bit TOO smooth, IMO.

But a nice performance, and thank you for posting and braving the slings and arrows of outrageous forum members!

rbmusic,
Very nicely done!
Thanks very much for the effort of recording and posting this beautiful song.

And especially thanks for putting in the details of your settings!

THIS is what I would like to see more of here in SZ, instead of all the constant bickering.

Thanks again,
Lee

Hi rbmusic. I'm with Diki on the subject of abrupt boundaries in the tango. But wouldn't the 'fill/break' button take care of that?
