(Play the demos... wow!)

Roy 'Futureman' Wooten's drum sounds..!

Check out the Funkmaster's set as well, and the Twisted Kit.

Some of my favorite drum sounds available, right now...

The jazz demos are outstanding. My kind of piano. Even if you don't like jazz, you have to respect the musicianship of the players. That pianist may never make as much money as Jerry Lee Lewis but I'd rather be him. Plus, you kind of sense that HE (or she) probably wouldn't be marrying their 13yr. old cousin.

Awesome drums...and super demos, the Funkmaster being my favorites.

I have to agree with Chas...the piano player in the Jazz demos is smokin'.

Ian

Just listened again...those drums are the about the best I've ever heard...absolutely natural sounding.

I've met him, and Futureman is "da BOMB". I like his brother Victor better.

Roy is a little "spacey", and I really don't like sound of the chest mounted the pads he uses with Bella, but he's a player.

Thanks for posting this!

He'll probably be using those drum samples now...!

BTW, Jab'o plays a house gig in a little restaurant bar just down the road from me (about 15 miles) in a jazz combo.

I have to admit that, unless you have a big console mixer and audio interfaces with a separate output for every drum, run into separate channels (just like a live drum feed) like we do at the studio I work at, the drums in EZDrummer (and it's expansion packs) are a LOT easier for the non-studio guy to get to sound good in a mix...

BFD, being 24 bit recordings direct off the preamp, have NO EQ, compression or limiting on them. So you have to do all that just to get them to sound good. Great if you have tons of processing power for plug-ins in your computer, or a board like our SSL with comps and great EQ on every channel, bit still only if you have great ears and engineering chops...

EZDrummer seems set up MUCH more for the player to use than the engineer than BFD... (and lighter on the CPU)
