Friends,

I'm back. I've got a question for you to help me solve. I just picked up a g-800 this past week and am impressed with what I have figured out on it. It was a tough choice, as I was strongly thinking of the XP-80. What I do with the keyboard is some arranging at home and for groups of people who want some back ground music etc. On the live side, I often end up filling in for bass, drums, strings, when the live players are not there. What do you think? Do I stay with the G-800? Look at the G-1000? Or another keyboard? I'm just starting to "unpeel" what the G-800 can do, so I'm asking for some of your expertise.

By the way, yes I really am a pastor. Last time you were a great help on this meeting, so I thought I would ask again.

Thanks,
Pastor Dave

Hi, I've got a G-800 myself, and it's a great keyboard - for its purpose. The G-1000 is better, of course, but it'll cost you half your leg. Great for onemanband, sequencing etc., nice sounds (SC-88, the G-1000 has a SC-88pro engine inside), not the easiest to use, but it's very good when you learn how to work with it. Any questions, email me!
