Please i need to know cos someone I know is selling their XP60 for $550 and I may be interested...How does the XP 60 compare to the Fantom ?? And what makes it better than the XP 30 and XP 50..

Last question...What is the diff between XP 60 and XP 80. ??

I can only help with one part of your question. The difference between the XP60 adn the XP80 is very simple - the XP60 has a slightly shorter keyboard. In all other respects they are identical.

MJB is right.. The only difference between the 60 and the 80 is that one is 76 keys and the other is 61. As far as the XP-30 is concerned. That keyboard is primarily for performance and studio work.. It does not have a sequencer nor does it have the large screen of the XP-60/80. However the XP-30 is loaded with sounds, and is a great performance keyboard. The XP-50 is quite similiar to the XP-60/80... The 50 doesn't have the sliders, smaller screen, less memory for recording, and I think less MB's to the sound quality.. The 50 isn't a bad keyboard, but I would take the 60 or the 80 over it any day.. Now the Fantom is the newer model.. It's an upgrade from the 60/80.. The sound quality is better, more room for sequencing, eaiser navigation, sleek body design, new screen.... However it only comes in 76 keys and I think roland dropped the semi-weighted keybed from the Fantom.. The 60 and 80 are semi-weighted and the Fantom has synth action, which isn't bad, but have a lighter touch to the keys... The price of the XP-60 is well worth it and I wouldn't pass that up.. That is depending on the condition of the board..

Hey Thanks guys for being kind enough to explain in detail...unfortunately when I phoned the guy this evening it was already sold..i guess because of the price...anyway I think I'm gonna save up and get a VA7 ...i thought i'd buy an XP60 and probably an old E66 keyboard....I play instrumental....at home...VA7 is a "home" keyboard i guess...
Its just that its so expensive here in South Africa ($2200) and you cant buy used cos I dont think anyone owns one in this country lol.
