Hi Guys
Did anybody try Vintage Synth expansion card?
is it any good .How does it compare to sounds from real Juno's,Jupiters,OB's and Moogs, is it worth buying it or get it one of the BEAST's.
thanks a lot

I have the vintage synth for my 3080 and I like it. I believe its a popular expansion
board given the variety it has.
Since I owned a Moog in the '70's and
messed around with the OBX I would say
the vintage synth is not as thick and
the original thing has more character.

I've one in the JD-990, this board was built for that module.

It's prestty good, but the differences between say a Moog Saw waveform, and a OBX Saw wave form are only going to matter to a true pureist. Once you heard a few dozen sawtooth waveforms you start not to care.
Then you hit the Pulse waveforms, and so on.

Don't get me wrong, there's some good stuff in it.

LOL! The Sonic Guy above me made such a great point man. After you've heard a sawtooth wave, you've pretty much almost heard all of them.

Besides, where else will you get a great of collection as that. This board is acclaimed by many and has a great variety of waveforms to mess around with.

The Infamous EPU.
