I am a new JV-1010 module owner, just bought
it today. I'm exited to check it out.

I have a question, for all you multi synth
owners. I have an Alesis 8din to 9pin serial
cable that is for an Alesis QS 6.1.
I was wondering if this cable will work.
The Alesis web site faq makes it sound like thier cable is pretty much standard PC cable,
but the Roland site just says to buy the cable from them. I have the wiring diagrams, but I no longer have the Alesis manual. Any information on this would be
greatly appreciated.

I would imagine so........ It should be just a generic cable such as a midi or audio cable. Roland probably just wants ALL your money.
