The hook in the chorus I think is stronger than any hook I've heard from Larry.
The bridge lifts but doesn't really drop me where I wanted to be dropped. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a comment.
Lyrically, I liked the chorus lines, the verses/bridge sounded kind of trite.
I've tried writing lyrics in the past and quickly found out its not my strong suite. Back in the 80's a studio guy who'd been around Nashville for 20 some years looked at my stuff and said something to the effect "instead of finding all these goofy ways of saying you love someone, why not just say it instead of trying to be so cutesy?" Very few of us can really pull off being a wordsmith, and we're usually better off trying a different approach. My different approach was to sing other people's songs, because I'm a mess when it comes to writing my own lyrics, lol...
Recording was sharp...
Cheers-
