For some reason, it doesn't want to save the effects settings. It will save all the part modifications. It will not save any changes I do to the effects. Anybody know why?

What doesn't?

It would help if we knew what you are trying to edit..

My Bad! I've got an XP-80. When I modify patches, all works well. In perform, however, the effects modifications will not save.

No ideas as to why my XP will not save effects modifications in performance mode?

Not having a XP er, no..

I would imagaine you would have to save the edited performance in one of the user memories

Hi

I dont't know what part ov the effect setting you are referring to.. Remember that the TYPE of effect has to be the same for all parts (also known as channels/tracks). If you use phaser on one part, all other parts will also have phaser; the only thing you can adjust is how much each part will send to the effect.

That said, the effect settings sholuld be easy to save, besides from the rythm-effects, that follow their own rules.. Check the manual on this..

If this answer doesn't help you; try to describe a little more of what happens to me..

OK. I go into a performance. I Make all my part modifications; selecting different sounds, volumes, pans, and such. I Want to select a different effect, like EQ. I know all parts in the performance will use that same effect, at least the parts I assign to the processor. So, I select one of the EQs, and make my adjustments. I save the performance in a user memory. All part modifications I've made are saved, but the EQ I selected and its modifications do not save. Why, Why, Why? It irks me.

BTW, I should add I don't have this trouble when I am in patch mode trying to edit a patch.

FAEbGBD:

I must say it sounds more or less like your synth is haunted!

I have never had that problem.. I'll try to check it out a little and see what I can find..
