sorry.......what r u talking about......as WAV files......do you mean samples??.....why would you need them as samples if you have them on your synth....by the way....MIDI...is simply the messages exchanged by a devise, IT IS NOT THE SOUND ITSELF!.....maybe you need to plug your synth headphone out into your computer linein. It sounds like your doing MIDI based sequencing.........therefore there is no need to have the instruments in WAV format!!

Just wondering... Why would you plug your headphone out into the line in? I use the line out of my synth and it works just fine.
Best regards

If you find you do not get enough power from your line out, headphone jack is better. There is little difference though really..

Hi,
I know it's not the topic here, but anyway... My line out (XV-88, outputs 1&2 or A&B, don't know for sure) even gives way too much power while recording in Cakewalk. I have to turn the volume quite low before all the clipping is gone. And doesn't the headphone jack give a little distortion of your signal?
About SpellcasterVicky's problem: do what Dr. O says. First record everything in MIDI and then record what comes from your line out (or phones jack :-)) on an audio track while simultaneously playing the MIDI sequence...
