I've heard lot's of negatives on the Fantom from early reports, but I have to say it's the easiest to use synth I've had to date. (Triton, KARMA, Motif & XV3080) Give it a test drive. It may be repackaged Roland technology, but I think they got this one right.

I was going to get one, but I really wanted sample play back and the 32 parts, so I got the xv5080, I do mostly studio based work anyways. However for live shows I think I would use the Fantom and the xv5080 together. I'll probably get one this summer.

I just ordered a Fantom. I'm really looking forward to it. How are the internal Hammond B3 sounds?
