Greetings!
I've recently purchased a Roland JV-1010 sound module with Emagic Soundiver 2.1 software included. My primary application is live keyboard playing. Ideally I would like to have all the patches that I use stored as User Patches for easier accessibility. I've been able to create about 10 good User Patches using the Soundiver software, but have been frustrated that the software only lets me choose from Preset-A, Preset-B and the Session Expansion board. Is there a way to access the other preset sounds in order to create user patches? When I first got the unit, I scanned through the 1,000 or so presets and found about 40 sounds that I really like. I thought I'd be able to simply transfer the sounds into User Patches. No such luck....or, is there a way to do this? If not, how I can find out how the Preset Patches were made so that I can create them myself? When I create User Performances, the software allows me to choose from all of the 1,000 or so presets, but the main problem is that all seems to be lost when I turn the power off and on. Since I don't want to bring my computer to gigs, User Performances doesn't seem like a viable option and I'm back to trying to create User Patches. Any Ideas? Also, would the newer version of the Soundiver Software address this problem?
Also, I'm wondering if anyone has checked out the expansion card with the electric pianos and organs on it and could tell me how they sound. How do the organ sounds compare to, let's say, a voce organ module?
Thanks!
