Hello I have several questions I hope somebody can shed some light. In one situation I would like to use VR760, VK-8M MIDIed through another keyboard. How can I use a foot switch to control the rotary speaker fast and slow om bot units during the times I want to use them as a double manual draw bar organ?
In another case if I fully expand the VR 760 with the SRX cards can I layer sounds from both cards? Can I also use the "on board" sounds together as well with the SRX sounds? Can I also modify the SRX sounds save them to a registration? One more question if I split the keyboard can I layer each of the splits? Thanks

It's been a while since I owned my VR-76, but I would think that if you connected the footswitch to the VR and midi'd the keyboard to a controller, then you could switch the leslie speed that way.

As for your other questions, I don't think you can use any two SRX sounds at the same time, as you are limited by using the synth section just once, correct? If that is so, then the answer to the other questions is NO.

Do you have a manual? If not I think I have a PDF and some other stuff.

Hello I have a manual on both instruments but they are not much help on the rotary fast/slow switching. I have tried MIDI and pedal assignments on the controlling unit with no help.
I was also wondering if I split the keyboard if I can also add different layering to each split?

The VK8M is unable to trigger the Leslie from a footswitch. I'm not sure about the VR 760 or not.

It appears you need to send MIDI controller cc#80 to get F/S Leslie control

I've found a solution for the footswitch issue with the Roland VK-8m organ module. MIDI SOLUTIONS has a product called MIDI FOOTSWITCH CONTROLLER. I've got one. It works great! Go to their site www.midisolutions.com and check it out.

The leslie speed can be controlled with a footswitch using a MIDI SOLUTIONS MIDI FOOTSWITCH CONTROLLER. Check it out at www.midisolutions.com. You'll need someway of sending it a sysex message to program it. I have one and it works great!
