I know its a stupid question but this is my first synth & the manual is confusing me. I cant seem to figure it out. I have an XP-60 & When I record something on track 1 & then switch to track 2 I change the patch & then when I go to record it changes track 1 to the same patch I'm using for track 2. Am I explaining that okay? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the channels but I cant seem to get it right. So in short, how do I change to a different patch for each track?

If you want to do multitrack recording/sequencing on your XP, you must enter Performance mode (by pressing the PERFORM button) and select a performance with a SINGLE key mode (LAYER key mode is for playing sounds made of stacked patches). For example, PR-A:01 House Set is in SINGLE key mode while PR-A:21 Heavy Kids is in LAYER key mode. Then press SEQUENCER to enter the sequencer and you should be set!
