Hi,
I was just wondering if there is a way to loop the same measure over and over again (for example, a drumbeat) and record the piano part while it's looping the drum-beat. Does that make sense? What I'm going for is just recording one or two measures of a drumbeat and carrying that one or two measures through the rest of the measures so that I can keep the timing of the drums correct. Every time I try to loop, it starts looping the piano part too after a couple of measures. What am I doing wrong? Any advice on this?

I think you will have to set up the drum beat as a pattern instead of a loop. I believe looping will just loop everything.
I think there might be a way to copy measures as well. I never sequence this way though, but I'm sure it's possible to select some measures and copy them.

Hi Tracey,

The same thing happens to me with my PC based seq. What I do is I write the 1 or 2 measures of drum beats. Then I copy and paste this out right back into the drum track. Thus creating a 100 or 200 measure drum track. Then the drum track can play while I record piano. It's not "looping" though.

Peace
Bob
