I was almost decided to buy a JV1010 and an A33 as my first serious keyboard, but I've seen some specs of the xp-30 and now I'm really "undecided".
Does anybody have any suggestion about which option is better? By the way, is there any difference between the sounds (sound quality) of these two synths?
Thnx.

Get the XP-30 over the JV-1010 & A-33. I had the JV-1010 and its drawback is only 1 expansion slot. Also, it will be easier to sequence from the XP than the A33-JV1010. If your looking to buy the equipment new than there is not cost benefit getting the JV1010-unless you already have an A-33. The only other difference is the action on the A-33 is a little better than the XP-30. As far as sound quality goes I would say it's a wash-they both sound similar but the XP-30 has the added orchestra and techno expansion. With a JV-1010 you would be forced to choose between one or the other, and then you would not have any more expansion capabilities unless you keep unscrewing the top and switching out the expansion cards. This could lead to problems down the road because you would want to open the case up as little as possible. The reason I sold my JV-1010 was I was mad that I couldn't have two expansions in there at the same time. I bought a JV-1080 and had 4 expansion slots to the JV-1010. The JV-2080 has eight. I think the XP-30 has 2 extra slots.
