I am trying to recreate the horn section of the Buckinghams in "Don't You Care." Specifically, when a horn section volume increases there is a phenomenon that actually flares the tonal quality of horns. This aspect should be triggered by the volume pedal input as opposed to keyboard velocity. Anybody have tips on how to do this?

Volume command is CC#7, and expression is CC#11. I presume you're sequencing it, right? If you're doing it live - get a dedicated expression pedal and asign it to the hand that plays the horn lines!
