ok i wanna record straight from my xp-30 onto soundforge...is all i have to do is hook up the line out from the xp-30 into the soundcard line in or (as i suspect) is it more complicated than that? please lend me a hand

larsdog......You have it correct, connect as you said just checking that you have stereo 3.5mm jackplug into the Soundcard,if that's what you require.
Possibly you already know that Sound Forge has a nice record level meter. Make a high recording level just below the red clipping level. Once recorded the Wave can be normalised to obtain uniformed levels.
