I programmed a song into the XP-80, But when I play it back, whenever part3,(in this case Ressaw Bass) It also activates part one somehow, Im not sure what is wrong, my quick remedy is just not to use the first part, but I would still like to know how to actually fix it. Thanks for any help you can give. btw. I know about layered and single mode in the performance and thats not the problem , thanks.

I have the same problem too. It happened to me when I use one of the rheeds as the instruments and it plays impact with it unexpectedly. I don't know it is channel related. Although I would use another channel and deactivate the channel that would play unexpectedly. This is assuming that you dont utilize all 16 channels and use an unaffected alternative channel. It doesnt solve the problem but its still an alternative pathway.

By the way, does anybody have a problem with this one:
It only happened once to me, but it could happen again. When I save my work as SVQ or MID and then play it from disk (also happens when loaded to internal memory and played)the tempo begins very slowly, and then at the very end, bursts out in ludicrious speed, which I did not expect it to do, since all tempo I programmed should be constant. It almost seems that the XP80 is struggling with the processing of data. Almost like insufficient buffering. Does anybody here have the same problem? If so can they please help me. Thanks in much advance.

Hope to share our problems and ideas effectively, my thanks.

Hey TMS

When you make your songs, do you transfer the performance data using the Xfer function, or else do you have a lot of controller data (volumes pans prog changes, that sort of thing), at the start of your tracks? If ya do, I found that inserting 4 or so bars at the beginning of each track and then putting the controller data (or the Sysex) right at the beginning of an unused track (i use 16 normally!) stops the sequencer fomr playing weirdly at the start! I don't think that the Xp's can cope with all that data at once!

As for the speeding up at the end? Sorry I haven't a clue on that one!

Hope this is some way helps!
