#26683 - 12/20/01 02:06 PM running two modules ?

I am running a JV1080 and a Roland MC505 Groove Box via Studio Vision on my Mac. I have the JV running fine but when I add the 505 into the picture I get both modules playing a tone simultaneously. Unfortunately OMS doesn't have the 505 "driver" listed as a default in it's device manager so I just added it as an "untitled" device. Is it because I don't have the drivers or because I need to reconfigure my cabling (somehow using the "Thru" MIDI feature). I know this is a very simple cluts question to which I'm sure there is an easy answer, but it would be appreciated. email - daz69_@hotmail.com

Make sure they are on two different midi channels. It sounds like they are not.

Sounds to me as if you need a MIDI interface that has more than one output.
Doesn't the MC505 stick to using all 16 MIDI channels if you need them or not?
Is the JV-1010 the same?

If you get a multi-port interface you can decide from you sequencer what information goes where....
