I am honestly impressed with the Audya, i heared it live this weekend. And then offcourse espescially the style department.

In the end the solo voices from my vst's will sound better, but i loved the styles.

- Is it easy to controll vst instruments running on my PC hardware ? and change between those instruments in real time. Or change those parameters using the onboard Audy sliders.

-Can i convert my Yamaha styles to Audya format and make them sound acceptable with some tweaking/tuning ?

Hi Bachus,
controlling VST with an external synth is an easy task but all deppends which synth.
For now the PA series have the best MIDI routing that exist on any existing machine,
including their workstations too, better then M3 or Motif or anything. Its very easy.
With the Audya no, you cant cuz Ketrons MIDI routing sux, its the worst, you'll get stuck
and your system will freeze in the first 5 minutes and not even that, first of all the synth
dont even have some options for external controlling, its like the synths 15 years ago.
Last, yes you can convert styles from anywhere but then you'll need to work on them
on Audya and fix them to your liking.

I just played a double gig this weekend with the Audya, the solo voices are good for adding some melody and leads to the arranger section but by no means can it hold a candle to a software synth.

My main reason for the Audya is that I can go play a gig with just that keyboard, I don;t need a vocalizer, mp3 player, wave player or small mixer.

Of course the styles are very driving which helps everywhere

Thanks for the answers...

It more or less confirms what i expected...

For now i'll stick to my software setup (which can do anything that a Lionstracs mediastation can do)

I was just hoping to add killerstyles from the Audya to this setup, but i really need the controll that my masterkeyboard gives me over them VST's

As i said, if you use a keyboard more as a master then stay away from any Ketron machine.
Not that they have bad MIDI routing but the thing is that they dont have it at all.
