Can someone tell me how to transmit a "snapshot" of the XP60 settings using SysEx to my Cakewalk Pro Audio ver.8 sequencer so that after saving the song on PC and changing the XP60 settings I can rstore the correct settings for that song?

I'm going wrong somewhere. I know how to send a dump to the SysEx directory in cakewalk but it doesn't seem to have any effect when I send it back to the XP60.

Hi!

I have a Roland Xp-30 and I use Cakewalk too.I think the XP-60 has the XFER function too.Just press record at Cakewalk and press the XFER/All-TEMP on the syth.If it finished to transmitt all the parts then stop cakewalk.
The sysx messages will be shown as events so you can see them in the Event List. It`s working!

Make sure you have Memory Protect turned off. That will prevent your synth from accepting a sysex dump. Most synths offer this feature to protect yourself from inadvertantly writing over the internal settings.
