Below is a copy of Simon's post on his www.svpworld.com :
Dear all,

After giving this a lot of thought, monitoring the overall website activity in the last year and most importantly given the complete lack of time that I now have to maintain and update this website, I am planning to close down svpworld before the renewal notices come in.

For those of you who have been with svpworld for the longer journey, I suspect you will be familiar with this as we sort of touched on it before. I feel that svpworld has served its purpose, it certainly sparkled in its days and I am sure many members will agree it has all been worth it.

Maybe something else in the future will surface, I have some ideas. All I know is that I can no longer justify keeping the website going. It has never been the same since we changed the format and the forum, and with one thing and another unfortunately I can no longer dedicate the resources and time to it.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the website over the years and contributed. I am in discussion with Michael as to what we do with the StyleManager software and the work Michael has contributed to the website.

As for my style disks and music, well wait and see. These will continue to be available from me should anyone be interested, although my musical direction is moving somewhat.

Once I have agreed a date to wind things down, I'll post more information on the website.

Until then, once again thank you everyone for your support.

Regards

Simon

Hi Cass,
that's sad to hear.
I participated for a number of years prior to getting my korg.First with 9000pro, then OMB & last psr1500.
He used to create some wonderful styles for the yammie keyboards.

I must admit I hadn't visited for a couple of years or so..

thank you
best wishes
Rikki

Well I certainly wish Simon the best. His styles were pretty good, better than I could do in a million years, but not up to Yamaha factory quality. Many of them were too easy listening for my tastes.

I think that the unofficial Yamaha Resource Site http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/ has all the necessary software we need for editing Yamaha style, registration, and voice files.

I'm sure that there will be many who will miss his website.
