does anyone know where i can find the in built style and voice list of the new Roland GW-8?

I have been browsing Roland sites as well as some third party sites but cant find this information...

one other question I forgot initially,

can you import styles from other roland arrangers like the G70 / E80 into the GW-8?

In short, yes you can import styles from the boards you metion plus the styles from the E mark.

Nick you can, but a big percentage require a fair bit of voice editing, but that about it.

Some drum tracks need micro editing to either remove notes or change pitch, but nost are okay.

why are these boards so cheap?

is it basically a full synth with arranger functionality?

I am very close to buying one this weekend...

build in China (I have heard), only plastic case, 61 keys with cheap quality but a lot of good functions, good styles and many good sounds I play an gw8E

It is important to realize that here in the USA the model is the GW8L (latin) and in Europe it is called the GW8E (Europe). There are different specific samples for Drum sets and sounds in these two models and they cannot be added into the two models. The E version has european as well as middle eastern styles and the L only has Latin Styles. Both have a certain number of basic styles that are the same in each one but it's the specific styles that cannot be used in the other.

I might add that, by the $1700 S900's standards, these are actually VERY good keybeds in the $900 GW-8.

The GW-8 does not have the drum micro editing of the E/G series, so moving drum sounds around is a bit more tricky. It would have to be done in the Style Editor/Composer, rather than the Makeup Tools. But, while I had a GW-8 (on loan), it played several G70 styles with little problem... nothing that the new OS2 can't correct, that's for sure.
