I've owned the XP80 quite some time now and still have not been able to understand and play (control) it the way I expected. Due to my lack knowlege of English language, I have sorta hard time understanding the owner manual book. Now, i'm thinking of buying the Video owner manuals ... is it really helpful or waste of money and time ? please also let me know if you have any other helpful sources or advices to give me on howabout i can progress. Many many thanks to you all.

I love my xp80

I found the video owner's manual to be helpful. I, however, purchased it immediately after I bought my xp80 (I wanted to learn quickly!). It really does cover the basics of the xp80 well (and covers everything: operation in different modes - patch, performance, rhythm; sequencing; and dynamic (real-time) and static sound editing). I guess how helpful the video can be depends on how much you already know. I can say, though, that I have been able to figure out everything I've encountered since I viewed the video by using the paper manual and reason. I love the xp80, too! If you live in USA, I'll sell you my VOM...
