I have an old Yamaha DD11 Midi Percussion Set with my new Roland XP60. I would like to play my rhythm parts from the DD11 rather than program them as I am a drummer.

Unfortunately, the DD11 predates GM by a year and the MIDI note numbers are slightly different (Hi-Hat on g2 as opposed to the standard f#2) On Roland's DR series, you can change the MIDI note numbers in the kits so they can remain backwards compatible with older MIDI triggers and keyboards. Is this possible on the XP60? If so, please let me know. I couldn't find anything about that in the manual.

The Infamous EPU.

You can make two user kits and assign any sample to any note on the keyboard.. also if you use cubase you can make your own drum maps that will re-map and any note to whatever you want, of course the cuabse route is no good for live work.
