After my initial first impressions, more thought and time, along with some helpful comments from members here on the forum, I purchased the 910 yesterday and now it's living right alongside my Korg.
Here are a few observations of my own:
1) It sounds better than the 900. I guess it's due to the newer voicing and improved styles - and improved effects.
2) The screen is quite vivid, but the graphics and fonts still seem a bit pixelated like before on the 900.
3) The new demos are top-notch, for what it's worth.
4) The Music Finder titles are not encrypted, but there seems to be a lot fewer included in the original list.
5) Remember how many complained about the 900's black buttons on black background surrounding the screen? Someone listened...they're now white.
6) Shallow key travel is not as much an issue as I thought it would be. I'm OK with it.
7) S910 and the Korg Pa500 really complement each other. Each has its own set of superior styles and voices over the other.
8) The S910 is solid, yet light and easy to carry under one arm.
9) There is a generous helping of new, excellent 'sweet' and 'live' voices from the T3 included, along with some of the top T3 styles. I really miss my favorites, though.
10) I'll need more time to explore the 910, but what I've seen so far, gives me a good feeling about another job well-done by Yamaha. It's another 'bang-for-the-buck' board. It's a keeper.
