Since I bought this 3 or 4 months ago, I never use the sound from performance mode. I always use the patches. According to the manual it has 32 Performance in User, Preset A and Preset B. How can I access those sound? My 1010 is midied to my Korg X5. I can hear all patches but when I press the value knob and put it in performance mode all I can hear are the same patches. I bought this from Guitar Center. It's an open-box so I got a little discount. I did load the factory presets but nothing happened. Are those performance only accessible using computer or software editor? There should be a way to get those sound using external midi controller. I don't want to think that the module I got from GC is a defective one which I didn't notice until today. Help!!!

I have a Korg N5 and a Alesis QS7 and the same problem.

The Peformance of JV-1010 need the next Bank Select:

MSB LSB Program Group
80 0 0-31 User
81 0 0-31 PR-A
81 1 0-31 PR-B

Verify in your X5 manual if your keyboard have any bank with MSB=80 and LSB=0.

PS: Don't forgiven... Read the pag. 49 of JV-1010 for select the JV-1010 select Perform Ctrl Channel = Korg transmit midi channel.

I read in a magazine that this module is excelent for studio, but not for live performance.
