Sitting here in my store the 910 is clear from any angle. When I had the 900 here, I would constantly have to readjust the contrast so I could see it at different heights and I had a hard time making it just right. It was either too dark or every box blended in too much. Now, with the 910 it is clear all the time and as sharp as the Tyros3.
When you hit the USB dedicated button you are in the USB audio transport screen. At the top you can see all your main folder choices and at the bottom you see the play, stop, pause, fast foward, rewind, repeat mode and there is a tab called files. When you hit files, you can see all of your choices and pick whatever song you wish to play. After you select it you hit exit and now you are back at the transport screen and you can see the name of the mp3 or wavefile you've selected and just hit play. There is also a dedicated volume control tab in this window.
I haven't tried registration memories from the 900 but I have loaded in the MusicFinder file from the 900 which has over 1400 selections. The factory music finder in the 910 has only a little over 100.
