Interesting. Ian, if you're looking (and listening). Check out Video 1 at @ 8:14. This is what I meant (in another thread) about an authentic sounding voice (SA Sax, in this case) not sounding all that authentic when played normally (ie. not aided by wind controllers, etc.). I didn't care for it at all in that particular demonstration.
Yes, I hear ya, Chas, although I thought he did a pretty good job...you have to spend a lot of time with the SA Sax voice (especially SA2) to really catch on to how much your playing technique can affect the outcome.
Perhaps this guy did not have a lot of time to play around (pun intended) with the SA2 voices...they really take a bit of getting used to.
I play a little mono analog synth; a Yamaha CS01...it's got a breath controller input, and it really makes the thing come alive.
Chick Corea used one quite some time ago... trs cool!
I plug mine into the Mic/line-in on the S900.
Rumor has it that thieves broke in the local drug store, and stole a case of Viagra...the police are looking for a bunch of hardened criminals.
